Spring holidays
Passover (pesach) starts tonight at sunset, and continues for 8 days. Passover celebrates the Israelites’ escape to freedom from their Egyptian oppressors during the reign of the Pharaoh Ramses II in 1134 BCE. Each aspect of the Passover celebration symbolizes and recreates that historic journey. It’s a time for families to celebrate, observe specific rituals, and share in the lavish and symbolic Seder meal.
A happy and blessed pesach to our Jewish friends!
This song has nothing to do with Passover, but it’s in the klezmer style (a type of Jewish music), and it’s performed by Itzhak Perlman. What’s not to like?
Get up and move – enjoy the energy and vitality of spring!
