What is Bragg's?
Bragg's Liquid Aminos is one of Marilus favorite
seasonings and is sold in most grocery stores and natural
food stores. It comes in a bottle; some bottles have a handy
spray top. According to the label, it is a "formulated
vegetable protein from pure soybeans and purified water
only. [It] contains no preservatives, no coloring agents,
no alcohol, no additives and no chemicals. [It] is also
Kosher Certified and is not fermented." Most importantly,
Bragg's tastes great (not too salty) and can be used on
almost anything. Its great on fish, scrambled egg
whites, pasta (with a little bit of olive oil), and even
lightly sprayed on air popped popcorn for a quick, healthy,
nutritious snack. (back

What is flourless grain bread?
Flourless grain bread is just another way of saying sprouted
whole grain bread. If you can't find 100% sprouted grain
bread (which is usually flourless), find the healthiest
whole grain bread that is available to you and use that
instead. Make sure it doesn't have dairy in it (of course).
White flour (over-milled, over-processed) should be avoided
as much as possible because it's very important for our
bodies to have something to work on, i.e., chewing and
digesting whole grains. (back

What is Miso?
Miso is paste made from soybeans and is an important ingredient
in traditional Japanese cookery. Now widely available
in this country, it contains all the essential amino acids
and thus is an excellent protein booster. It also contains
enzymes, lactic acid, and microorganisms that benefit
the intestines; for this reason, it is helpful in the
assimilation of complex carbohydrates such as grains and
beans. It is generally used as a soup base and flavoring
agent. Miso is also delicious in sauces, spreads, and
dressings. Miso is available in the refrigerated section
of your health food store. (back

What is food combining?
Simply put, food combining is eating your protein and
your starch at different meals, and eating your fruit
alone. The program makes it so easy, you wont even
realize you are doing it! There is more detailed food
combining information in
the Total Health Makeover, and following the
30-Day Total Health Makeover
makes it easy just follow the menus!
