7am PT – Kelly Krumenacker, President & Executive Director of The Bucks County Children’s Museum

The Bucks County Children’s Museum’s mission is to be a fun, interactive and educational environment for children, parents and schools with exhibits that reflect Bucks County’s unique history and culture. As we build this environment, we will stand steadfast to our guiding principles, which are:

  • Curiosity and imagination are the foundations of learning.
  • The best way to learn is to do.
  • Be a resource for children, parents and schools and develop partnerships with like-minded organizations.
Children's Museum

Children’s Museum

The Bucks County Children’s Museum is an idea a local elementary and special education teacher had dreamed of for many years. While raising three children in Bucks County, she experienced the rich history and culture of the area. With the idea of raising awareness and a “sense of place”, she wanted to find a way to educate other young families about the uniqueness of the county while preserving its history and beauty. Combining Bucks County history with fun hands-on learning experiences for families to share in evolved, and she began to present this exciting idea to the community.

This vision was shared with various parent groups, educational foundations and community leaders who received it with great enthusiasm. Based on this support, feasibility data was researched, an advisory committee was established, and the museum was incorporated as a non-profit charity in August 2006.

In February 2007, the Founding Board of Directors was assembled and the Bucks County Children’s Museum received 501(c)3 non-profit status in March 2007.

7am PT – Tanna Frederick, Actress and Activist for Save Our Surf

Tanna Frederick

Tanna Frederick

Tanna Frederick can currently be seen on the nation’s screens co-starring opposite Judd Nelson in Henry Jaglom’s highly acclaimed JUST 45 MINUTES FROM BROADWAY, which originated as a play here at The Edgemar Theater and enjoyed a very successful run of over a year! Ms Frederick had earlier starred in three previous Jaglom films for which she won great acclaim: HOLLYWOOD DREAMS, IRENE IN TIME and QUEEN OF THE LOT. She has recently completed principal photography on her 5th film collaboration with Mr Jaglom, THE M WORDS, co-starring with Michael Imperioli, Corey Feldman, Frances Fisher and Gregory Harrison, which will be released late 2013.

On Stage, Ms. Frederick has had a similarly astonishing and stunning career, starring in an earlier N. Richard Nash play, ECHOES, at The Coronet Theater and also in Mr Jaglom’s first play, A SAFE PLACE, at the Skylight Theater. Last year she directed theater for the first time, while also co-starring in Claire Chafee’s fascinating look at WHY WE HAVE A BODY. The year before that she played – to enormous acclaim – the title role of the dog in A.R. Guerney’s famed SYLVIA, a production that had originally opened at The Sierra Madre Playhouse before being transferred and restaged at The Edgemar Center For The Arts, by her long-time collaborator and director, Gary Imhof. It too, just barely reached the one-year-mark, very unusual in L.A. as you local theater-goers well know.

Tanna Frederick

Tanna Frederick

Last Year Ms Frederick received the Distinguished Young Alumni Award from her alma mater, The University Of Iowa, a distinction that made her very proud indeed. Other Awards have included Best Actress In A Feature Film by many film festivals from Houston to Fargo to Wyoming and, of course, from The Iowa independent Film Festival in her home state, which she was actually instrumental in creating five years earlier. In her determination to encourage local filmmaking and local filmmakers in Iowa and to bring more filmmaking there, she last year originated Project Cornlight, which has produced – with an all Iowa crew and cast – its first feature film, THE FARM, in which she stars opposite Tom Bower, Rylie Behr and Joel West and is directed by Ron Vignone. The Farm will be released next year.

Ms Frederick also recently won the prestigious Maverick Award from the Los Angeles Women’s Theatre Festival. An ardent runner and surfer, her concerns since moving to California for the health of our oceans led her several years ago to found Project Save Our Surf – a non-profit, in which she remains extremely active – which also raise funds for freshwater, as well as Ocean conservation. She is using her increasing visibility to actively support many vital clean water initiatives, from Central America to South Africa to right here in Southern California.

6am PT – Dorothy Hamill – Olympic World Champion Figure Skater, Author

Dorothy Hamill
Dorothy Hamill

Every four years the Olympic Games produce a new group of champions, but only rarely does one of these champions transcend their sport to completely capture our imaginations.

Such was the case when nineteen year old figure skater Dorothy Hamill won her Gold Medal at the 1976 Winter Games in Innsbruck, Austria. Her interpretation of music, fluid skating and infectious charm led all nine judges to unanimously vote her the winner.

Dorothy is most proud of her World Championship title in Gothenburg, Sweden following her win at the 1976 Olympic Games in Innsbruck, Austria. Everyone had advised her to retire from amateur competition, saying that even a second place would tarnish the luster of her Olympic gold. Characteristically, once she set her mind to it, she would not be dissuaded, and won.

As a professional, Dorothy has skated with many productions, including eight years with the company she helped bring to preeminence among touring ice shows, the Ice Capades. She had an unprecedented four ABC television prime time specials produced in her honor. Along with winning five consecutive World Professional titles, Dorothy has produced and starred in her own touring productions of “Cinderella – Frozen In Time”, “Hansel, Gretel, the Witch and the Cat”, and “Nutcracker On Ice” and won an Emmy for her starring role in “Romeo and Juliet.” Dorothy was inducted into the Olympic Hall of Fame and the Figure Skating Hall of Fame and was very proud to run the torch into the Olympic Stadium in Salt Lake City with her friend Dick Button as well as skate the closing ceremonies with vocalist Harry Connick Jr. In addition to her skating roles, Dorothy was the first recipient of the Stars of Madison Avenue Award for her continued roles in successful advertising campaigns.

Dorothy has been serving on Kennedy Krieger’s Board of Directors since 2009. She couples her passion for ice skating with her dedication to Kennedy Krieger Institute and has created, I-Skate, a program that allows children with physical disabilities to take to the ice. Working with the Institute’s Physically Challenged Sports Program, Dorothy personally instructs the young skaters, providing them an opportunity to learn to skate.

Dorothy’s charity involvement includes the President’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, the International Special Olympics, Big Brothers & Sisters of America, American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Ronald McDonald House, to name a few. Dorothy does a great deal of motivational speaking engagements to Women’s Organizations, Health Organizations, and Corporations. In September of 2010, Dorothy was the opening speaker of the prominent televised “Stand Up to Cancer” event which aired on all four major networks simultaneously. Since its launch in 2008, the campaign has raised more than $250 million in an effort to find a cure for cancer. Dorothy continues her leadership efforts as a current member of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s new Women’s Leadership Council Steering Committee.

Dorothy released her memoir entitled “A Skating Life: My Story” from Hyperion Publishing, which made the NY Times Best Seller List. In her deeply moving and honest memoir, Dorothy opens up about love, family, courage, and what it means to truly win both on and off the ice.

Dorothy makes many Television appearances on talk shows and has hosted numerous TV Skating Specials, most recently, in December 2010, she hosted a TV Skating Special entitled, “Kaleidescope.”

During the Holidays, Dorothy launched her own collection of jewelry sold at Helzberg Jewelry Stores which are owned by Warren Buffett, named “Love, Help and Hope by Dorothy Hamill.” Each year, her collection will partner with a different charity. This year a portion of all sales will be donated to the Susan G. Komen foundation to find a cure for breast cancer. This line is a big success, being the best seller for Helzberg.

7am PT – Daphne Cheng, Chef and Founder of Verite Catering and Suite Three Oh Six

Daphne Cheng

Daphne Cheng

Chef Cheng is a classically trained chef but considers herself largely self-taught. She is a pioneer in haute, plant-based cuisine and aims to challenge the status quo by expanding the idea that vegetables can be the centerpiece of a meal. With her hyper-sensitive palette and limitless creative vision, she focuses the culinary spotlight on seasonal, fresh vegetables.

Cheng’s cuisine is vibrant, playful, and refined all at once. She enjoys introducing unfamiliar juxtaposition of ingredients and flavors in a style she calls “ethnically ambiguous.”

Chef Cheng’s journey to culinary excellence is an unusual one. During her teenage years, she suffered from anorexia nervosa and scarcely ate over 500 calories a day. She gradually overcame the disorder through playing in the kitchen and reading numerous books and articles about healthful eating, and now has a deep respect for food.

Daphne attended the University of California, Berkeley, for a year before deciding to fully commit to her culinary dreams and moved to New York. She graduated from Natural Gourmet Institute in 2010 and is certified in Plant-Based Nutrition through Cornell University.

Suite Three-Oh-Six

Shortly after graduation, Chef Daphne launched her own catering company and has catered for many individuals, companies, nonprofits, and celebrities including fashion designers Vera Wang and John Bartlett, artist Peter Max, actor Alec Baldwin, and actress Lea Michele in a short span of two and half years.

7am PT – Dr. William Davis, Author of Wheat Belly and Wheat Belly Cookbook

About Dr. William Davis:

Dr. William Davis

Dr. William Davis

In my office practice and my online program for heart disease prevention and reversal, over 80% of the people I meet are pre-diabetic or diabetic at the start. In an effort to reduce blood sugar, I asked patients to remove all wheat products from their diet based on the simple fact that foods made of wheat raise blood sugar higher than nearly all other foods. Yes, that’s true for even whole grains. More than table sugar, more than a Snickers bar. Organic, multigrain, sprouted—it makes no difference.

The book, Wheat Belly: Lose the Wheat, Lose the Weight and Find Your Path Back to Health, has taken the nutritional world by storm, earning a place on the New York Times Bestseller list and a consistent top seller on Since its release in August, 2011, the Wheat Belly phenomenon shows no sign of slowing; it is growing.

In addition to writing, speaking, and practicing preventive cardiology in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I am Medical Director and founder of the Track Your Plaque program for heart disease prevention and reversal. This program was articulated in the book, Track Your Plaque: The only heart disease prevention program that shows how to use the new heart scans to detect, track, and control coronary plaque, as well as the online program by the same name ( Wheat elimination along with the nutritional principles articulated in Wheat Belly serve as the cornerstone of my heart disease prevention efforts used in the Track Your Plaque program. I’ve consulted for the nutritional supplement industry and am currently consulting to the food industry to help create foods that are wheat- and gluten-free but lack many of the adverse health effects posed by gluten-free foods. I have recently established the Wheat Free Research and Education Foundation to help propagate and support this important message. Bucks County Playhouse is succeeding in its second act

CHUCK DARROW, Daily News Staff Writer, 215-313-3134 Posted: Tuesday, August 20, 2013, 3:01 AM

20130820_dn_Z2FCOV20FTHE BUCKS COUNTY Playhouse opened in July 1939, as a summer project of some of the biggest names in American theater history, among them author Moss Hart.

It spent the better part of three decades as one of the most celebrated venues in the nation, attracting show business giants (many before they attained such exalted status) from Harpo Marx and Helen Hayes to Alan Alda, Grace Kelly, Robert Redford and George C. Scott.

Unfortunately, that golden age was followed by a period of slow, steady decline – artistically, physically and financially – until, in 2010, the converted grist mill smack dab in the middle of New Hope was forced to shut its doors, ostensibly forever.

7am PT- Kim Webb, CEO of Rockin’ Green Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products

Rockin’ Green is an award-winning manufacturer of eco-friendly cleaning products designed to make cleaning easier and greener. Rockin’ Green produces clean rinsing Laundry Detergent for hard, soft and

classic water types, Funk Rock – a first-of-its kind natural ammonia bouncer; Melody, an odor-neutralizer and air freshener home spray; and Doghouse Rock, a pet bed & toy detergent and Auto Dish – a natural, yet tough dishwasher detergent. Rockin’ Green’s laundry detergent and Melody come in four natural scents: Smashing Watermelon, Mötley Cleän, Lavender Mint Revival, and Bare Naked Babies (unscented). Kim Webb, founder and CEO of Rockin’ Green, initially developed these gentle but effective formulas to cope with her child’s sensitive skin. More information about Rockin’ Green can be found at

Kim Webb is the founder of Rockin’ Green LLC, a company that manufactures eco-friendly laundry detergent and cleaning products.

Kim started her career in marketing, working at a variety of technology companies. However, she always had a dream of becoming an entrepreneur. Kim says she felt deep inspiration when her son, Jackson, was born. She began blogging and opened her own retail store that sold natural baby products.

However, Kim had trouble keeping her cloth diapers and clothing stink and residue-free as she suffered from hard water. She found that other moms were experiencing the same problems and were becoming fed up with the green options available.

As a creative and determined person, Kim fiddled with some eco-friendly detergent formulas of her own and in 2009, officially founded Rockin’ Green. The company’s first product was a laundry detergent, and it has since added other products including Funk Rock (an ammonia bouncer), Melody (an odor neutralizer/room spray), Doghouse Rock (detergent for pet beds and toys), and Femme Rock (a menstrual pad detergent). The company plans to continue to add to their product line-up. Rockin’ Green is widely available in more than 1,000 retailers worldwide and it is used and trusted by hundreds of thousands of moms around the globe.

Kim says, “My passion for green living prompted me to create an eco-friendly detergent. This clean rinsing formula is great for all laundry and it comes in an assortment of fun scents too. It makes me truly happy when I see how much Rockin’ Green helps moms, babies and our planet – I’m simply amazed at what a great detergent can and has already accomplished!”
