Martin Short is an Emmy and Tony award-winner who has appeared in such classic comic movies as Three Amigos and Father of the Bride. Growing up the daughter of a music teacher, the woman you are about to meet has been singing, dancing, and performing for just about as long as she can remember. At just 15 years old, she made the move to the Twin Cities from rural North Dakota and her professional career began as she became a success in the Minneapolis-St. Paul theatre scene.
Over the years, Perkins has performed and recorded with her bands Scarlet Haze, Northern Comfort, and SKITZOfrenic. Scarlet Haze’s third record came out February of 2012 and was produced by James ‘Fluff’ Harley of World Record Productions and the debut single features Guns N’ Roses guitars Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal, Nine Inch Nails drummer Ilan Rubin, Grammy-nominated producer Joe Marlett (Foo Fighters, Korn) and her current musical director Eric Warner.
Perkins recently found herself in the national spotlight on NBC’s THE VOICE as a Top 5 contestant coached by Adam Levine (of Maroon 5). Her single, “Fearless” was produced by John Fields (Pink, Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez) and independently hit #5 upon release on the iTunes charts.
When not on stage, you can usually find Perkins nannying, writing, recording and constantly coming up with new projects as well as managing other bands in the business. She speaks at many schools also.

His writing has appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times, the TLS, Intelligent Life, Arete, and Vogue. He currently teaches film history and criticism at New York University. Brian Newman has earned his stripes as a man about town. Fulfilling his dream to become a New York City jazz man, Brian continues to perform standards and original compositions as bandleader at Rose Bar at the Gramercy Park Hotel every Tuesday and Thursday night. Brian’s musical stylings and bespoke fashion have been described as the eclectic embodiment of both new world punk and old world tastefulness, allowing him to gracefully toe the line between nouveau chic and classic elegance, for which he has been widely featured in publications such as The New York Times Magazine, PMC Magazine, Lifestyle Mirror and StyleLikeU.
One of the most reputable and dynamic trumpeters in the business, Brian is perhaps best known as Lady Gaga’s jazz bandleader, arranging and appearing on her upcoming jazz album with Tony Bennett, “Cheek to Cheek”. This international superstar’s ability to mix glamour of yester-years with contemporary sensibility has earned her burlesque’s most prestigious award: “Queen of Burlesque, Miss Exotic World 2008”. Aside from its substantial part in Angie achieving burlesque’s highest honor, this combination of a deep-seated retro base and a cutting-edge innovative drive is also why Angie has toured multiple runs in the United States, Italy, Australia, Canada and Spain, and has been featured at spotlight events all over the world, including the exclusive night club Dragon-I in Hong Kong. She has performed on-stage at Lincoln Center’s Rose Theater with Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett and has headlined some of the largest burlesque festivals in the world. She was named “Best International Touring Artist of 2009” by The Naked City/Alternative Media Group of Australia. Even with such travels and acclaim, this modern day vintage vamp, as grounded as she is worldly, equally treasures her hometown titles, “Miss Cyclone”, and “Best Body in Burlesque” (2008 and 2011 New York Burlesque Festival).
Angie Pontani, the “Gypsy Rose Lee incarnate” (NYC Edge), is as rooted and ground-breaking offstage as she is on. She is co-founder and co-producer producer of the longest running annual burlesque festival, New York Burlesque Festival; she was co-creator of the off-Broadway hit, This is Burlesque; she is producer of the on-going U.S. tour, Burlesque-A-Pades, starring the “#1 Burlesque Attraction in the Nation” (AOL.com), The World Famous Pontani Sisters. Her productions have shattered, and undoubtedly will continue to shatter, attendance records. Her knack for production and marketing has led her to produce and create a series of dance instructional DVD’s: Go-Go Robics I & II, Twist Party featuring Los Straitjackets, and Go-Go Dance with Angie Pontani.
Angie’s repertoire is frequently sought by discriminating clients including Campari, Esquire Magazine, Dos Equis, The Fox 5 Superbowl Party, Guggenheim, and more. She was also a part of an ad campaign for Peter Werth (UK) and X-Rite Photosystem with Brian Smith (USA). Aside from having been photographed by renowned photographer Ellen Von Unwerth for L’uomo Vogue, she has graced the covers and pages of many magazines including Pin Curl, Page Six, Glamour, Spanish GQ, and countless others.
