Reduce and Change the Fats You Eat!
Remember the no-fat diet trend? It didn't work because eating "no fat" is bad for you! You need fats from natural, whole foods (like fish, nuts, avocados and olives) to stay healthy. In fact, those healthy fats help lower cholesterol! They even assist in weight loss by increasing HDL (good) cholesterol.
We've been hearing more and more about trans fats and you can now see them listed on the nutrition labels of your foods. Trans fats are the least healthy fats, and cause major artery blockage over time. Instead of trans fats, enjoy the fats that are naturally included in fish, nuts and some vegetables.
