It is easy to love the people far away. It is not always easy to love those close to us. It is easier to give a cup of rice to relieve hunger than to relieve the loneliness and pain of someone unloved in our own home. Bring love into your home, for this is where our love for each other must start.

There’s a certain elegance to the foxtrot and the waltz, and there’s nothing sexier than a good tango!

Besides the social benefits, ballroom dancing is a great workout. Just look at the contestants on Dancing With The Stars – they all get more fit and more lean through the season. You may want to take lessons first. It’s a fun way to reconnect with your partner (just think – dinner and dance lessons every week!), as well as get some exercise.

Besides, when you go out, you get to dress up! And when you get home, you get the extra payoff from that tango!

You know how everyone has that member of the family that is estranged – or just … strange?

Make time (and space) for that family member during this holiday season. Include him/her in your holiday plans.

So that person is difficult. Or annoying. Or requires special care. Most of the time we learn something from experiences that are a little bit trying – and it’s almost always something about ourselves.

If you can’t invite this relative to your home or your celebration, then make sure you at least call him/her on that special day.

November is all about relationships.

Strengthen the bond you have with your partner, sibling, or best friend. Tell them you love them – but in a way you never have before.

• Write it in a note for their briefcase or lunchbox.
• Send a greeting card you picked out just for them.
• Send an email or text message.
• Send or hand-deliver flowers.
• Send a gift basket, or a book, or a CD you know they’ll love.
• Do something from their “to do” list.
• Take them someplace special – and different – for a date – like the planetarium, aquarium, video arcade, ballroom dance lessons, cooking class.
