Have you been watching Unforgettable on Tuesday nights? It’s the new, crime drama inspired by Marilu’s Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory. The main character of this series is Carrie Wells, played by the wonderful actress Poppy Montgomery. As a detective Carrie uses her memory to help solve crimes but, in an ongoing mystery, can’t access the memory of her sister’s murder. It’s one of the most fascinating shows on the air this season. And add to that, Marilu is the guest star in this week’s episode. She and Poppy Montgomery were recently interviewed together. You can watch that interview here:

With our Viva La Vegan class going strong (yes, you can still join in the fun!), we thought this film looked pretty cool. It’s not out yet, but you can add your name to the mailing list to get info on the release date and screenings.

“To Your Health” is an in-depth study of whole food, plant-based nutrition, debunking the most common myths associated with modern nutrition. Exploring your need for protein, calcium, supplements, metabolism, and other issues, “To Your Health” provides answers to your biggest questions.

Follow Julieanna Hever (a.k.a The Plant-Based Dietitian) as she travels the country to interview the biggest names in the Plant-Based world including Dr. T. Colin Campbell (The China Study), Dr. Joel Fuhrman (Eat to Live), Dr. John McDougall (The McDougall Program), Dr. Neal Barnard (Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine) and many more. Julieanna’s travels take her from Cornell University and the countryside of New Jersey to the San Francisco Bay and the far reaches of Central California.
So… now we know to watch out for too much fat (most of which comes from animal products) and dairy. Kind of surprising, right?

If eating vegan sounds difficult, why not try it in small doses? More of a “vegan-ish” approach than a fully vegan approach. Start with eating one vegan meal a day, and when that gets easy, go for two vegan meals a day, or 10 vegan meals a week, or vegan family dinners, or ordering vegan food in a restaurant, or bringing vegan food to a picnic or potluck dinner. Challenge yourself a little bit.

Our online class in July is the very popular Viva la Vegan class – where you don’t have to be vegan, but you can get great recipes and reasons to try it out. Learn ways to make a vegan lifestyle (or even a vegan-ish lifestyle) work for you. Sign up now and don’t miss out!
